Blueprint, Essex's favourite party band, formed over 10 years ago and the boys have been bringing thier own brand of party music to the people of the South East ever since.

Taking the best music from the last 6 decades this band know how to put on a show, from Elvis to Ronan they will perform it all. Cutting their teeth in pubs and clubs, Blueprint have honed thier act and, whatever your function, the boys will offer nothing less than 100% to make sure you get what you want and your guests have a night to remember.

Weddings, parties, clubs... Blueprint have vast experience in providing the best in live music, with absolutely no backing tracks. Blueprint are still the one and only party band guaranteed to make your event go off with a bang.

This 4 piece Essex based band have their roots way back in the late Seventies. Gary Kenton (singer /guitar) and Duncan Hill (drums) went to the same school and were members of separate bands. On leaving school Gary continued to write and perform his own material in a variety of bands and duos, Duncan played in a number of bands on the Essex and London circuit.

It wasnt until 1996 that Blueprint came together for a school reunion and Gary and Duncan found a shared love of good, no nonsense music from all the decades and with two other school friends, Blueprint came onto the Essex Music scene. Playing pubs and Clubs and picking up Weddings and Functions along the way, Blueprint very quickly established themselves as a good time, good fun party band.

Many musical standards were given the Blueprint treatment, playing songs only heard on the gold music stations from Elvis to the Stones, with modern classics from the Police, Blueprints rock till u drop attitude means they are constantly in demand. So much so that the other two members of Blueprint left at the end of 2006 as work and family commitments meant they couldnt give their all to the band.

Gary and Duncan ploughed on and found Trevor White, a veteran of the London music circuit, whose presence and enthusiasm brings a new meaning to the big man on the bass, and Mike Pugh who, whilst not quite born in a flight case, toured the UK with his Mum and Dads showband. Mikes mastery of the guitar adds the drive and power to Blueprint brand of music.

Blueprint use state of the art sound and light systems to help your event go with a bang and a flash. We can provide live music for up to 3 hours, managed in a way to suit your function i.e. 2 x 90 minutes or variations on this theme. Using our powerful PA system we can play CDs of your choice or mp3 / ipod tunes, so for the whole of your event Blueprint will have the supply of music covered. Vastly experienced in providing entertainment at a wide variety of functions, just book Blueprint and sit back.

Gary Kenton Lead vocals\guitar

Gary formed his first band and wrote his first song at the tender age of 10! The proceeding years have seen him working in various bands and with a variety of musicians in everything from the pop/rock arena to Musical Theatre, up until the formation of "Blueprint" in 1997.
During the 1980's, whilst part of a song writing duo, he was managed and signed to London based "Jeep Publishing" (owned by 70's Reggae star Judge Dread) and wrote songs and jingles for advertising and radio.
A successful songwriter in his own right, Gary has had his work published and released in the USA and Australia.
Gary has a wide appreciation of music which includes Artistes from Elvis Presley to KT Tunstall, Bands from The Beatles to The Kaiser Chiefs and writers from Gus Khan to Paul McCartney."
Gary is also a member of the British Songwriters Guild.

Duncan Hill Drums\vocals

This frustrated front man has been playing drums for over 30 years. Self taught, he believes that drummers should be heard and not seen.
His favourite drummers are Don Powell (Slade), Phil Rudd (AC/DC) and Tico Torres (Bon Jovi). His musical tastes range from Military music (his dad was a Grenadier Guard) right through the spectrum.
In his day was a real soul boy and, when not playing, could be found in the clubs of Essex dancing the night away or down the front at Status Quo gigs.

Trevor Chalkie White Bass guitar\vocals

With 30 years of playing experience and a veteran of the London rock scene through the late 70s and 80s. Chalkie has been a lead singer in his own right and his harmonies add hugely to the Blueprint sound.
Chalkie brings vast knowledge and presence to Blueprint. He has played bass for a huge range of performers from Kid Creole to Eddie Allen. His musical influences are varied and his favourite bass players include John Entwistle (The Who), Peter Crookshank (The Groundhogs), Dunis Dunaway (Alice Cooper), Norman Whatroy (The Blockheads), Chris Squire (Yes), Paul McCartney.

Mike Pugh Lead guitar\vocals

Having covered everything from solo work up to 6 piece bands, Mikes influences cover every style of music from folk music to metal and all areas in between (however strange!). Having played with many famous faces including the late and very great Screaming Lord Sutch, Mike is just happy playing anything with notes in.
Adopting a completely open ears attitude (brought up on Country and Western would you believe!), Mike has been influenced by a myriad of guitarists that include Stevie Ray Vaughan, Alex Lifeson, John Mayer, Andy Summers, Eric Clapton, Larry Carlton, Dougie Maclean, Albert Collins, Albert King, James Taylor, Billy Gibbons, Brian May, Jimi Hendrix, Gary Moore, Dave Gilmour, Angus Young, Richie Sambora, Randy Rhoads, Chuck Berry, Walter Trout, Jimmy Page, Jeff Beck, Robben Ford, BB King, Wilko Johnson, Robin Trower, Albert Lee, Eric Johnson, Peter Green, Buddy Guy, Keith Richards, Steve Morse, Eddie Van Halen, Jeff Healey, Joe Walsh and Steve Lukather.

On behalf of all those who attended our recent Valentine dance, can I say a huge Thank You and the boys for providing such super entertainment. Once again you really made our dinner and dance specials and we have had loads of comments from those who attended all saying how very much they enjoyed having a good old 'boogie'. It didn't go unnoticed that you played solidly without a break and enabled everyone to wear their feet to a frazzle. Next time we must make sure you all get a beer break if only so you can move your legs moe than two foot. On a personal note I thought Love Shack was the highlight of the evening. (I can't believe you learnt the words!) I hope you enjoyed the evening as much as we did. Once again thanks.
- Lynda Barkway, Chairman EPMS

I cannot speak highly enough of the band. They were friendly, talented, they even learned our first dance song for us and it played it wonderfully. This band I would recommend 110%. They are a credit to your agency.
