Paul James has been performing as Gene Pitney around the Midlands now for many years. The voice and the on stage mannerisms are of the highest order, Paul has attended many shows of Gene Pitneys over the years and he is a real enthusiast! Having met him in 2004 and admired his ability to work a song with a voice that can evoke so many emotions and had extreme power and precision. Paul James' tribute does the original artist the greatest of justice.

As soon as you hear the opening notes of 24 Hours From Tulsa (The Burt Bacharach Hal David classic starts the show) you are sure to know straight away that you are in for a special night of nostalgia. The show is a guaranteed success right down to the closing note of Town Without Pity, usually used to close the set and bring the house down! Paul's interpretation of this song is as close to Gene's as is possible, shut your eyes and you would think it was Gene himself...
